As founder of Keller Capital, Gary Keller helps provide strategic direction for the company, while serving as a visionary leader for all investments company wide. Based on his leadership qualities and contributions in business, Inman News named Keller to the 100 Most Influential Real Estate Industry Leaders of 2010. He has also been voted as one of the five “Most Admired People” in a survey conducted by REAL Trends magazine, was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Central Texas and was a finalist for Inc. magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Mitch JohnsonChief Executive Officer
Mitch is the co-founder of Keller Capital and has served as CEO since its inception. He was personally recruited to run Keller Capital by Gary himself. Day-to-day, Mitch’s passion is working with motivated companies and principled entrepreneurs. He oversees current and prospective portfolio investments for the fund and is Chair of the Investment Committee. Mitch received his BS, with honors, from Boston University, and an MBA from the Acton School of Business. Although he’s not originally from Austin, Texas, where he currently lives, he says he got here as soon as he could.
Jay PapasanVice President
Jay is co-author on the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and BusinessWeek best-selling books, The One Thing, The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and The Millionaire Real Estate Investor. On a daily basis, Jay oversees operations for all divisions within Keller Capital. Jay is an integral part of shaping Keller Capital’s investment strategy.Prior to joining Keller Capital, Jay spent several years as an editor at Harper Collins Publishers, where he worked on such best-selling books as Body-for-Life by Bill Phillips and Go for the Goal by Mia Hamm. Jay holds a BA and a graduate degree from NYU.
Clay FullerReal Estate Manager
Clay is the Real Estate Manager for Keller Capital. His day-to-day involves property management, property investments, and capital fundraising. Prior to joining Keller Capital, Clay earned a BA in Real Estate at Baylor University where he was awarded the most outstanding student in the Real Estate Department. During his time in Waco, he contribured as wide receiver on the football team. Before coming to Baylor, Clay spent 5 1/2 years playing minor league baseball in the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim organization. Clay grew up in San Antonio and is now making a new home on the outskirts of Austin with his wife Makenzie.
John KellerSenior Associate
An obsession with the outdoors and a passion for design, John graduated from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture.On his way to joining one of the top landscape architecture firms in Texas, John discovered he’d been unwittingly raised by his father to be a business man and that ultimate creativity lay in the opportunity to start, grow and shape businesses, ultimately shaping the world - John is now an MBA candidate at The Acton School of Business…John lives in his hometown, Austin, with his black lab Riley. On any given day you can find him painting the landscape, at the yoga studio, or heading to the hill country to go hunting or fishing.
